I opened my eyes There were two shoes on the step Put on my shoes Went to work There were no shoes on the step After the accident For many mornings I opened my eyes Put on my shoe Took my crutches Went to work There was one shoe on the step
Everythings withered For no additional gain Long cold nights ahead
letting the day gain purchase on my attention as dreams slink away
Only my inner thoughts to watch As I swaddle into an evening swatch Although I may be bone dead tired Dawns on withering conscious frame With nothing to lose and all to gain Additional input may be required
A frog on a log Obsessed on a midair fly Ribbit Ribbit (slurp)
after losing all agency it takes a long hunt to reclaim it

Volcanic activity has cracked the crust many times. From the heat of the moment all the way to the heat of infinity. Things warm. Things cool. Giving the energy to other things less energetic. Some things crack. Some things varnish. Some things vanish. All while wearing the cosmic crust of perception. Vulcanizing existence. It’s all in how you crack your fingers. What goes on in the under crust, only Vulcan knows for sure.
Desert varmints will skitter over sunburned rocks. Vanish in varnish

I must attribute my lacklustre life research results to having things bassackward for most of my days. Apparently I was focused on the generalities while ignoring the particulars, when I should….

Sometimes I can choose Othertimes I have no choice Yet things get chosen
Did the bell mean stop or did it mean go. All the bells at school sounded the same. The context of the bell set its meaning. There for the bell early. Not there for the bell late. Was I sitting in class. Was I in the hall heading to my next class. Outside coming in. Inside coming out and bell free for the remainder of the day. Or was I living in a world of bells without context.
Dong Ding Dong Ding
So it goes.
