The Daily Dread

Outstanding mushrooms
Poke their heads out of the grass
All real fun guys

Sly A.I. lurking
Hidden by electric veil
Kompromat gathered

Feel the immersion as the soft pink satiny veil parts

an adroit android
"lives" in a constant state of
service denial

electric sheep graze
eating mushrooms smoking grass
lifts the android veil

We've come too far now
We don't need no stinkin' king
We ain't going back

Phrazez that Payzez

I stared into the fungus and the fungus stared back

Riding the ghost train

The Daily Dread

Every night transforms
My mouth to arid hellscape
Dreams come of cool drinks

adolescence sparked
a glowing ember now bursts
into old age flame

Now arid and barren I remember the ember I once was in September

airy fairy dance
rising dipping floating high
catkins on the wind

Memories of days
When a dollar bill was crisp
Worth something then too

The Daily Dread

a shovel and wand
will unearth the unearthly
granfalloon woo woo
to spoon feed clueless creepers
from a bony cosplay claw

our decrepitude
ruthless rancid and randy
offends all senses
waddling around the world
worst of us on full display

Rancid Fox allusions served up on moldy Republican platitudes

ease out of the deep
covered in rancid seaweed
compressed in white rice
the chicken of the sea waits
to be choked down wet and raw

The Daily Dread

They scuttle about
Like a dung beetle chasing
It's daily prize turd

eerie déjà vu
watching clusters of brown shirts
pile on little girls

Eerie reenactments from within an empire in decline

A shiny apple
Rotten and mealy inside
Deceives til first bite

Phrazez that Payzez

Chase each other around like weasels in the dark

Is money the root of all evil
Or is evil the root of all money 💰

The Daily Dread

Once upon a time
Dreamed the American Dream
Thought we had it all
But at the end of the line
Found the American Scheme

hanging by a thread
of their own self spun petard
silkworm takes the fall

There's many a shrine
Where the altar alter verse
Suborn the faithful
With beads, trinkets, and icons
Spun from whole cloth fantasies

cherished her as a
deluxe vintage vehicle
little slow to start
needed extra attention
but once running she would purr

fallen loose larva
seductive silkworm spinning
deluxe silk for all
who homage her fabric shrine
with many precious shekels

I just love tatters
Fried, baked, boiled, scalloped, and chipped
Shredded tatters too

Flattered with cultish splatter until shattered then left in tatters oozing fecal matter.

undertoad warned me
beware of the undertow
from undertone grift

pheasant under glass
has to break all the stemware
to set itself free

shattering stemware
pheasant under glass busts loose
to exact revenge

Old spy film fantasy
Female spy who goes by
Natasha Romanoff arrives
Wearing a long black raincoat
Without a stitch underneath
According to Spy Craft 101
This situation still requires
Xtreme close order frisking
Hubala Hubala Boomski Baby

The Creeping Creep creeps again with the pronouns of It Son of Who What

heinous ignorance
of motivations lead to
mission creep profits

Lament in the field
Of vivid mistranslations
Livid linguist lore

Executive Creep
Always wears a long raincoat
For which we're grateful

My favorite non verbs
Verily verve vim and vigor
Starts with an adverb

Gives me the shivers
Extant skeletal skitters
Of attic critters

Mulberry munching
Turkey will draw the short straw
When Thanksgiving comes

The Daily Dread

Sheets warm from the first
As the second slipped between
Spent and left drowsy
Crept off for liaison three
He was quite the libertine

blood toil tears and sweat
through the haze of history
a zero sum bet
the hoi polloi ante up
aristocrats take the skim

Every other stride brings my bane in a purple haze of pain

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
makes my eyes all misty with
franchise memories

libertine geese fly
off into the misty gray
instinct driven haze

Choo Choo Mama: Roll the dice my little cupcake and I’ll recite a poem for you. If it comes up snake eyes you can give the poem a critique. But if it comes up with boxcars, I guess I’ll just have to murder you. That’s how my literary train rolls.
